Greater Glory Church of God is blessed to have leaders who are visionaries that are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Please meet our Pastors, Bishop Dennis and Pastor Uannie Walton.

Bishop Dr. Dennis Walton presently serves as the Senior Pastor of the dynamic Greater Glory Church of God in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. With over 40 years of faithful ministry, he has served in numerous leadership capacities at the local, national, and district levels. A passionate and visionary servant-leader, Bishop Walton is widely recognized for inspiring positive and lasting transformation within church congregations, particularly in areas such as church growth, building expansion, family life enrichment, attracting youth and developing a church aglow with revival and the glory of God.
Affectionately known as “The General,” Bishop Walton is a native of Jamaica and is deeply rooted in a rich Christian heritage. Called to preach through multiple visions of Jesus Christ from as early as age five, he gave his heart to the Lord at the tender age of nine. By age ten, his calling was already evident as he began preaching the gospel after being appointed Children’s Church Pastor at his home church, marking the beginning of a lifelong journey of consecration, service, and obedience to God.
An Ordained Bishop in the Church of God, Bishop Walton has pastored several churches in both Jamaica and the United States. He has served with distinction as National Director of Family Life Ministries for the Church of God in Jamaica & the Cayman Islands and is a respected, articulate advocate for marriage and healthy family life. His leadership portfolio also includes service as an elected member of the State Executive Council, National Youth & Discipleship Board and Ministerial Care Board for Jamaica & the Cayman Islands.
Under his charismatic and Spirit-led leadership at the Greater Glory Church of God, the ministry has experienced steady growth over the past eight years. Notable achievements include the acquisition of a 30-seater church bus and the completion of multiple renovation projects. For the third time in his ministry, God has again inspired Bishop Walton to lead the congregation into a bold, faith-filled building expansion mission. In 2025, the church broke ground on a God-sized mission to expand the sanctuary from a seating capacity of 250 to 600, with an estimated first-phase cost of $2 million, a vision that is now actively unfolding.
Bishop Walton is the former Pastor of the vibrant McDonald Lane New Testament Church of God in Kingston, Jamaica, where he served for over 14 years. Under the anointing of the Holy Spirit and his visionary leadership, the church building was expanded to three times its original size, seating 500 worshippers. Active membership grew from 40 to 450, and the church successfully acquired two additional properties. Today, Bishop Walton also oversees several churches across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Kenya, extending his pastoral influence internationally.
Bishop Walton is an iconic and highly influential leader within his ministerial constituency. He is a catalyst for positive social change and is deeply committed to supporting the weak, vulnerable, and disenfranchised. His impactful community service has earned him recognition at the highest levels, including the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award from the President of the United States, as well as citations from the New York State Assembly and the City of Philadelphia. On two occasions, he has also been honored with the prestigious Pastor of the Year Award.
Bishop Walton’s ministry is bolstered by extensive training in theology, psychology, and education. Recognizing the importance of academic preparation for effective ministry, he pursued theological studies at Bethel Bible College of the Caribbean, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in theology. He later completed a Bachelor’s degree in Guidance and Counselling at The Mico University College. In acknowledgement of his lifelong contributions to ministry and theological leadership, he was recently awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity (D.Div.) degree from Liberty Hall Bible Institute & Seminary.
A strong proponent of healthy family life, especially among ministers, Bishop Walton consistently emphasizes the importance of strong marriages as the foundation of ministry. As an extraordinary evangelist, he is renowned for his relentless passion for inner-city evangelism, having hosted numerous street crusades, weekly deliverance and glory fasting services, and gospel peace concerts in collaboration with leading national gospel artists.
Dr. Walton walks in a powerful prophetic anointing, and his ministry is widely sought after both locally and internationally. His former church in Jamaica was filled twice weekly, on Sundays for Divine Worship and on Wednesdays for Glory Deliverance Fasting Services. As an international conference and crusade speaker, his ministry is accompanied by countless testimonies, signs, and wonders – clear evidence of his spiritual depth roots and the prophetic grace upon his life.
