Greater Glory Church of God Founder

Greater Glory Church of God is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.

Bishop Jabez Barrett

Founder

The Greater Glory Church of God (formerly Bryn Mawr Ave New Testament Church of God) was founded by Bishop Jabez Barrett.  He travailed in prayer, fasting and much labour to establish this great church. As he nurtured the church, it was a great labour of love for the glory and honour of God.

Indeed, it is a great accomplishment acheived through great struggle and difficulties.  He is a great example of endurance and steadfastness.

Bishop Barrett is a visionary leader and had to overcome several obstacles as he sought to establish the church.  Under his leadership, the first church building was acquired at 63rd and Woodbine.   As the church grew, with the support of the local leaders and members, a second property was acquired at 2227 Bryn Mawr Ave, Philadelphia, PA, 19131.  Many souls were saved and many lives were touched by his ministry.

We are grateful to him and his family for their outstanding contribution and service to the church.

Bishop Jabez Barrett is now in the Presence of the Lord.  He will always be loved and appreciated by all of us members, past, present and future.
