We Love Our Community

Our church and its members are working on developing a growing number of relationships and consistently meeting long-term needs. We've seen the results that take place when members of the church become intentional about becoming a witness for Jesus Christ. We know that community engagement is critical for a healthy church that follows the example of Christ, and for a congregation that follows the example set by Jesus.

Helping the Needy - Food Pantry Mondays and Thursdays 6 - 8pm.

We are big on volunteering at shelters and feeding the homeless. We also partner with other charities to accomplish our mission. We have several members who volunteer at our Food Fantry. The Food Pantry back is open on Mondays and Thursdays 6 - 8pm, and provides well needed food and clothing to the needy.   Please come to the back of the building and someone will be happy to assist you!

The church has been serving its surrounding communities for over 35 years.Since then, we have implemented several programmes aimed at uplifting individuals in our quest to offer a wholistic ministry. We have had several success stories and we hope to continue in our mission to bring hope to hurting people in our community and across the world.

We have sent barrels of food and clothing to other countries and we hope to do even more in the future.

Community Events

We have lots of activities that the community can be engaged in.  We have Family Fun Days, Outdoor Food Fest, Back to School Treats as well as other activities.  These events  are hosted on our church grounds, however, these events aare not just for church members.

Community events are another way that we reach out to our Community.  We have several events on our Calendar that we open to the community.  Our Sunday School Treat and Fun Day is one example where we reach out to children in the community.  There are kids fun activities including bounceabouts, water slides as well as back to school giveaways.  Another major community effort comes up in August, where we will be hosting a Community Health Fair.   Through these and other effors, we aim to show how God acts through the church, and be an example of his grace.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Our VBS is a fantastic way that we engage with the community. Summer is difficult for a lot of families and we are happy to be there for them providing a biblical alternative use of time.  Our VBS is usually held in June for 1 week.

Vacation Bible School a great way to provide the community with necessary christian education and pairs it with a great Biblical education that’s targeted at kids. Parents and guardians get a small time off during this time. VBS is fun, kids love it, and we hope the community appreciates our church’s efforts at making their lives a bit easier.

Other Activites

We have several other activities planned for this year including community cleanups, distribution of food, missions walks and missions trips. We feed the homeless at least once per quarter.  We will keep you posted.
